Homes and neighborhoods

Most of Callaway’s homes are 1950s–1980s block and frame houses on a street grid, mixed with houses built since Hurricane Michael in 2018. The named neighborhoods inside the city with the most sales include Bridge Harbor, Park Place, Sunrise at East Bay, Laird Point, East Bay Park, Sentinel Point, Tyndall Station and Callaway Point. About 4 in 10 sales have no subdivision name at all. Builder communities include Century Complete’s Grand Oaks of Callaway and D.R. Horton’s Park Place.

Because so many homes were damaged or rebuilt after Michael, the year built doesn’t tell the whole story — ask for the permit history and the wind-mitigation report.
